God who is a loving Father is on the side of His children. Believers could not doubt this love with all God has done in sending His Son and in providing the Advocate for all who accept them. As God is the God of the universe, there is no power greater, no source wiser, no being that could be even close to the omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, omnibenevolence of our God. Paul states it rather clearly, if God is for us, who can be against us. Having God on our side gives us the greatest chance of success. So we should always solicit God’s aide in anything we do, in all that is important, even in the small things in life. God should be the way to start your day. Before you even get out of bed you should have a small communication with God about the day’s expectations.
In a recent message Tim Elmore (#timelmore) and @clayscroggins shared on “Building Resilience in the Next Generation” where they discuss how we have to bring the Locus of Control internally, we must believe we have the power to set our own direction. They pointed out the next generation believes more and more that their Locus of Control is happening to them, it’s external. Tim recommended three strategies to help bring confidence to an internal Locus of Control. The first recommendation is to “Affirm Scripture out loud.” Tim shared that every morning before getting to far along in his day he declares four things out loud; 1) God is on His Throne; 2) His promises are true; 3) The devil is a liar; 4) My faith is the victor. This is great advice. We should all connect with God out loud first thing in our day. God is with us and we can depend on God for more control in our lives. .
