Jesus speaks to those following Him about bread from heaven and that they may see the Son of man ascending to where He was before. But Jesus knows there are some who do not believe and one will betray Him. With this knowledge Jesus says no one can come to Me unless it is granted by the Father. It is in belief that we begin to be drawn to Jesus, we read His messages and change enough to want to discover more. But it is not until we receive the full power of belief which is found in love that we are truly drawn to Jesus. We must be born of Spirit and then we begin to discover divine truth. If we yield to divine truth we are yielding to attractiveness, a light yielding to loveableness. We yield to divine light through an act of will, which must become a surrender. This is God drawing us to love, we see how attractive the divine is and we see how attractive love is and we are pulled toward it, believing we are drawn to truth. There are those who do not surrender and they will never know what it is to believe. They resist the Father’s work and Jesus knows they will never be granted access to Him.
It all begins with a movement toward Jesus in belief, then we are attracted to divine light, and love which draw us nearer and nearer. Fully in love we are drawn more and more, given access to Jesus. We only need to take a small step in belief and then allow God to draw us toward Him. As we move closer and closer, believing, we are falling in love with love. Once we allow love to affect us we are easily given access to Jesus.
